Thanks John for the update. I plan to write to Energy Australia to show my displeasure. I understand things happen, but the feedback about the matter will be important in my view.

Subject: Electrical power outage
Following the aborted works yesterday the advice that I have received is that the Energy Australia employees found that what was being done had wider implications than just Macquarie Gardens and would have resulted in a possible shutdown of a much larger part of the grid.

They had approximately 20 workmen with various vehicles, cranes etc who all had to leave with little work being done.

I am awaiting written advice from the manager and details of their next proposed course of action.

You might remember my original puzzlement and queries in regards to this work not being listed in the Energy Australia's database.

Well, this confirms the high level of bad planning and delivery.

The response I got from Anthony Kirton at Energy Australia last week did not make me too comfortable either. He tried to defend their operational processes and avoided responding to my direct query about Optus either (but that is not relevant at the moment).

Note that Energy Australia destroyed part of our garden in front of the complex too (in front of the signage). Looks pretty ugly at the moment.

Let's see what happens next. Personally, I have already sent an email to Anthony Kirton expressing my dissatisfaction.
